                   Temperature of Delhi is sparkling 46 degrees now a days and MET department is expecting further increase of temperature in the next 10 days.....  Refreshing chillers are man's best friend these days. These mocktails will be instant energizers in the scorching summer heat.  So here are five refreshing Ayurvedic mocktails which will be good for health and tasty too....



1)  MELON LEMON DELIGHT :-
                                                            This refreshing mocktail has cooling effect of watermelon,  lemon, khus & mint. This sweet and tangy drink will definitely going to rock your day....

TIME TAKEN - 10 min


SERVING - 2

INGREDIENTS

WATERMELON           250 g or one big bowl
KHUS SYRUP              2 Tbs
LEMON SYRUP           3 - 4 Tbs or according to taste
MINT                            5 to 7 leaves
ICE                                2 to 5 cubes
ROCK SALT                 a little








METHOD-
                       Cut watermelon into small pieces and put all the ingredients in a blender.  Blend it until smooth (No need to take out seed from the watermelon as they get blend easily and the residue get settled at the bottom of the mocktail).  Add honey to increase sweetness if required.  Garnish it with some mint leaves.  Serve chilled immediately .

2) SIMPLY LEMON -
                                      This next mocktail is easiest of all and can be store for ready to use option.

INGREDIENTS

LEMON SYRUP           6 - 7 Tbs or according to taste
CHILLED WATER        2 Glasses
ICE                                 2 to 5 cubes
ROCK SALT                  1/4 Tsp



METHOD -
                        Add all the ingredients except ice and stir for a minute.  Add ice and serve chilled.


3)THANDE KHAS MEIN LEMON TADKA -
                                                                                You are going to love the refreshing and cooling effect of this mocktail.  Make it in advance and store it in a bottle in your fridge.  Try this whenever you are back home and you will feel refreshed immediately.

INGREDIENTS

KHUS SYRUP              5 Tbs
LEMON SYRUP           2-3 Tbs or according to taste
CHILLED WATER        2 Glasses
ICE                                 2 to 5 cubes
ROCK SALT                  1/4 Tsp

METHOD -
                        Add all the ingredients except ice and stir for a minute. Add ice and serve chilled.

4) BEL (WOOD APPLE) MOCKTAIL - 
  

You are going to enjoy this mocktail with cooling effect of BELfruit along with the tangy tadka of lemon.  This mocktail can be prepared and stored in advance for ready to use option.

INGREDIENTS

BEL SYRUP                  4 Tbs
LEMON SYRUP           2Tbs or according to taste
CHILLED WATER        2 Glasses
ICE                                 2 to 5 cubes
ROCK SALT                  1/4 Tsp
HONEY                          If Required

METHOD -
                        Add all the ingredients except ice and stir for a minute. Add ice and serve chilled.




 5) THANDAI - 

                        When we are talking about so many refreshing mocktails we cannot underestimate Thandai in the process.  As thandai itself is the mixture of so many ingredients I have no scope to add anything in it.  Kulfi goes good with thandai but if you are calories conscious then don't add it.

INGREDIENTS

THANDAI                                             5 Tbs
CHILLED SKIMMED MILK               2 Glasses
KULFI ICECREAM (Optional)            2 Scoops
Almonds and Cashew nuts (Crushed)   7-8 pieces       


METHOD -
                        Add all the ingredients (except dry fruits) and stir for a minute.  Add ice cream(optional) and garnish it with dry fruits.  Serve chilled.
