How To Measure Correct Length Of Your Rope - 

To check if the jump rope fits you stand on the centre of the cord and see if handle tip is reaching your armpit.  When you jump over the rope, the rope should just brush the floor beneath you.  If it touches the ground in front of your feet then the cord is too long and should be shorten and if does not touches at all while jumping, go for the longer cord.



Optimum length ideally depends on how high you hold your arms when you turn the rope.  Then check where it hits the floor and make adjustment according to it

How To Shorten The Length Of The Rope


You can easily adjust the length of a little long speed rope without altering it's performance.  Make a simple loop under a handle of the jump rope.  Use red tape to mark the exact length you need and make one or two loop according to it. 



To shorten the beaded rope simply undo the knot in one handle, remove a few beads from the rope, restring the handle and any clips in the proper sequence, and re-tie the knot.

The image below shows the steps to re-create the knot in your beaded ropes.

Excess string from a beaded rope can be removed by cutting or singe the end of the cut string with a match or lighter so that the string does not begin to unravel.
